There are a number of ways that WinEcon 7.1 can be customised to suit your institutional and teaching needs.

• Incorporate other applications like Excel, Powerpoint, Acrobat, web based documents, video and audio
• Forward compatibility with new WinEcon versions maintained
  

Perhaps you find some tutorials are too advanced or too basic for your students, or you want to produce a mini course or module on a specific area of economics. You may therefore want to create a customised course with only those tutorials which are appropriate for your teaching needs

'Pick and mix' from the 900+ topics available, adding, removing and re-ordering them as required. Create chapters and sections to suit your needs with selected introductions and summaries. Alternatively, our pre-structured courses can simply be modified.

Once the course structure is compiled it is added to or replaces the courses available in your WinEcon software.

These customised WinEcon courses can then be provided to your students to add to their software to support modules or specific courses run by the institution. When using WinEcon, the customised course would be available in the course listing.

'Mini' courses or modules can be created, selecting those topics relating to your module, arranged using your own chapters, sections, introductions and summaries, if necessary. When a student started up this course they would be working through a 'mini' version of WinEcon containing only the topics you wanted the student to have access to, following your course structure.

Furthermore, web links to WinEcon from your course notes could be made to link directly to this customised course or any topic, introduction or summary included in it.

Any customised course created can be easily saved as web based course contents listings which can be further enhanced with your own style sheet.

Give these customised web based course contents listings, or those shipped with WinEcon, your own 'look and feel' with your institutional name, logo, colour scheme, etc.

It is also possible to add other tutorial materials to WinEcon using applications like Excel, Powerpoint, Acrobat , web based documents, video and audio.

For instance, you may like to add an audio/video of an economist's lecture to WinEcon or an Excel exercise you have created. These could be added to a customised course so that the video or Excel exercise followed/preceded a particular topic or introduction or summary in WinEcon.

And if you want to design your own WinEcon tutorials these can be developed by WinEcon pogrammers from lecturers' instructions.
